Description: This review of materials pertinent to the board exams
includes a CD-ROM for additional help.
Purpose: The purpose is to serve as a review for dental hygienists
taking the national board exam, providing them with a comprehensive overview
of dental hygiene practices and dental sciences. The book is a valued part
of the preparatory process for taking and passing the exam.
Audience: Dental hygiene students are the audience.
Features: The book is presented in four parts. Part 1 address the
proccess of preparing for the national board exam according to the Dental
Hygiene Board of Examination Specifications. Parts 2, 3, and 4 represent
each topic area of the exam, with a special chapter on planning and managing
dental hygiene care. Notable features are the CD-ROM, up-to-date
information, and the practice exams.
Assessment: I am impressed with the content and the quality of
materials from which one can draw. I feel that I would be well prepared for
the board exam using this book. |
